Nostalgic Wedding Chapel at Honeysuckle Hills
Our charming wedding chapel is located on the main grounds upstairs in our barn. When you walk inside, it is more like a cozy Smoky Mountain cabin with its pine walls. Chapels were the very first wedding venues in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, and remain a popular, nostalgic choice to this day.
“Legendary” Phil King’s voice resounds like a singer under the cathedral ceiling when he officiates, and I’ve never heard more beautiful violin music than inside this room. The chapel creates a sentimental feeling with the smell of wood and delightful site of string lights. Some of our couples choose this ceremony location even in seasonal months because it feels more like a church wedding. Pictures can be created after the wedding in many beautiful places just outside the barn or at one of our mountain view sites, depending on the wedding package you choose. Our mountain view sites are only a short, one-minute drive from the main grounds.
It should be noted that because the chapel is upstairs in our historic barn, it does not cool as effectively as cabins or hotels when the outdoor temperature exceeds 85 degrees. Ceremonies in the months of July and August are best prior to noon. We permit up to 50 guests in this ceremony site only when absolutely necessary because of the tight space.
If you choose one of our outdoor ceremony spots, you’ll walk from the chapel’s exit down the steps under our vintage chandelier to whoever is waiting to escort you down the aisle below. This is one of our favorite spots to do a first look, too! Photographers love the soft window light from the balcony doors to capture all the emotional moments.
